The economically most successful companies globally over the past ten years are almost exclusively companies whose business models are based on good data governance and innovative data usage. These include the large US tech companies from Silicon Valley, China's tech corporations, but also supposedly more traditional companies, such as the U.S. food companies Herschey and Coca-Cola, the agricultural machinery manufacturer John Deere, or the coffee chain Starbucks.
The European Commission is currently trying to also drive European companies to push for more innovative data governance and use. More than 90% of European companies have identified the topic as a core business opportunity.
But where do German large corporations and SMEs stand?
Our survey extends existing studies in the domain by focusing specifically on German companies and their challenges in adopting smart data governance. Going beyond observing the high-level trend, our survey explores management and technical abilities that are vital to assessing the preparedness of companies in light of the data economy.
To all affiliates of German SMEs and corporations: Please participate and share our study, which you can find via the following link:
The survey takes about 30 minutes. This questionnaire can only be submitted online. You can pause and resume the questionnaire at any time. Once you have submitted your contribution, you can download a copy.
